A teraz oddajmy głos naszym gościom.
Witajcie!
Tajlandii? Szczerze mówiąc, zanim odkryłem CresentieR, nie znałem
żadnego metalowego zespołu z Waszego kraju.
Peast: Cześć!
Jestem Peast, wokalista grający na gitarze. Osobiście uważam, że
będąc muzykiem metalowym w Tajlandii, musimy starać się, by nasza
doza cierpliwości i determinacji.
Czy móglibyście opowiedzieć o
początkach CresentieR? Jakie zespoły były dla Was inspiracją?
perkusista. Odpowiem na to pytanie, ponieważ to ja byłem
inicjatorem powstania zespołu. Na początku rozmawiałem z Peastem,
naszym głównym wokalistą, który rozważał porzucenie
działalności muzycznej. Stopniowo rozpaliłem w nim na nowo pasję
do tworzenia muzyki, zachęcając go do dalszej gry.
Caesarowi, Punna.
Caesar:
Po raz pierwszy spotkałem Punna na
koncercie Trivium w Bangkoku w 2023. Rozmawiałem wtedy z moim
wietnamskim przyjacielem.
koncercie Trivium, prawda? (śmiech) Więc zaprosiłem Punna do
dołączenia do CresentieR, kiedy tworzyliśmy zespół i
uczynienie naszej grupy bardziej znaną i rozpoznawalną.
Wiem, że
pracujecie nad Waszym debiutanckim albumem. Jak idzie? Kiedy
moglibyśmy spodziewać się kolejnego singla?
Cezar:
Cześć! Nazywam się Cezar, pełnię rolę drugiego wokalisty
(scream) i gitarzysty i odpowiem na to pytanie. W chwili obecnej
i nagrywali.
muzyki. Będziemy stopniowo wydawać single, więc bądźcie czujni,
wkrótce ich posłuchacie.
Czy album
będzie miał jakiś konkretny koncept liryczny? Jakie myśli
chcielibyście przekazać poprzez swoją muzykę? Czy myśleliście
kiedyś (podobnie jak np. Rhapsody) o nagraniu kilku piosenek w swoim
ojczystym języku?
Punn: Witam!! Nazywam się Punn,
jestem basistą i współautorem tekstów zespołu. Koncepcja tego
albumu dotyczy realiów, z którymi musimy się mierzyć każdego
dnia.
Chcemy, aby
Peast,
jesteś gitarzystą i wokalistą w CresentieR.
osobistymi gustami muzycznymi? Czy są one ograniczone do power metalu,
czy bardziej eklektyczne?
Peast: Przez ostatnie 10 lat
temu byłem zaangażowany w około 2-3 zespoły. Moją inspiracją
jest Anchang, główny gitarzysta i wokalista zespołu Sex
Machineguns z Japonii.

ENGLISH VERSION
Hello everyone! Today I present you an interview with CresentieR. It's a power metal band from Thailand, which released their first single Rise Beyond Retreat in October. As you will read later in this interview, the band's plans go much further. Please, follow them on social media Facebook i Instagram. And now, let's give the floor to our guests.
Hello! First
of all, I'd like to ask how is it to be a metalhead in Thailand? To
be honest, before I descovered CresentieR, I've never known any metal
band from your country.
Peast: Hello! I'm Peast, the vocalist who plays guitar. Personally, I
feel that being a Metal musician in Thailand, we must strive to make
our music stand out with unique selling points and interesting
aspects, and pour as much of our skill and craftsmanship into it to
make it as appealing to listen to as possible. Of course, we have to
accept that the Metal genre, in the style that my band plays, is not
very widely accepted yet. To achieve success or to do better, it
requires a considerable amount of patience and determination.
Could
you tell me about the beginnings of CresentieR? What bands were your
inspirations? What are the biggest difficulties you should overcome
as a newly formed band?
Mint: Hello, I'm Mint, the drummer. I'll answer this question, as I
was the one who initiated the formation of this band. Initially, I
talked with Peast, our lead vocalist, who was considering quitting
music. I gradually reignited his passion for making music,
encouraging Peast to continue. As for Caesar, our guitarist, we were
introduced by others and had played in another band before. However,
due to dissatisfaction with our previous band's direction and quality
of music, I decided to leave and invited Caesar to start a new band
together. We then invited the lead vocalist and Caesar to join. A
classic problem for bands in this genre in Thailand is finding a
bassist, which we resolved by bringing in Punn, thanks to Caesar.
Caesar: I first met Punn at the Trivium Live in Bangkok 2023 concert.
At that time, I was standing and talking with a Vietnamese friend.
Punn approached us out of nowhere and asked in English if he could
join our conversation, assuming I was a foreigner. As we talked, I
learned that Punn plays bass and likes metal music. Of course, he
probably wouldn't be at a Trivium concert if he didn't like it,
right? (laughs) So, I invited Punn to join our band, CresentieR, when
we were forming and needed a bassist. Previously, I had also invited
Punn to play in two other bands with friends just for fun
Mint: Regarding the question about the band's inspiration, it's hard
to answer because each of us comes from different musical
backgrounds. The major challenge as a new band is to make our
group more well-known and recognized.
I
know that you're working on a debut album.
How
is it going? When we could expect another single?
Caesar:
“Hi! I’m Caesar, taking the role of Guitar 2/Scream Vocalist, and
I'll answer this part. As of today's interview, we are working on the
fourth song. However, the second and third songs are not yet
completed in terms of mixing and mastering. If you're wondering why
we don't finish one song at a time, it's because we distribute tasks
and divide responsibilities among ourselves. Each of us has a clear
role. Once I finish my part, I start working on my own song. For
example, once Peast finishes composing a song, he schedules me to
record the guitar parts. After I'm done, it's Punn's turn to record
the bass, followed by Mint on the drums. While others are working on
their parts and mine is completed, I begin composing my own song.
Then, we schedule others to come in and record in turns. Even though
we are working on multiple songs simultaneously, I believe this
doesn't compromise the quality of our music at all. We will be
gradually releasing singles, so stay tuned for them soon.”
Will
it be any lyrical concept on this album? What is the message you
would like to send via your music? Did you ever think about (just
like e.g.
Rhapsody)
recording
some songs in your native tongue?
Punn:
Hello there!! My name is Punn and I’m a bassist and co-songwriter
of this band. The concept of this album is about the reality that we
have to face each and every day. We believe that all of us are
struggling through some kind of troubles and obstacles in our daily
lives. We want to write something to encourage people and tell them
that they are not alone in this fight. We want our music to be a
comfort zone for everyone.
We’ve
never thought about writing songs in Thai. First of all, the style of
music that we make isn’t that popular among Thai people and we want
our music to be enjoyed not just in Thailand, but also in every
corner of the world.
Second
of all, the Thai language has its own tones and intonation which
makes it difficult for us to write lyrics in Thai that will get along
with the melody of our music.
We
prefer writing songs in English because we want to make it easier for
everyone to understand our music. We also want to challenge ourselves
by putting our knowledge of English to the test.
Peast,
you're guitarist and vocalist in CresentieR.
Is
this your first metal band or you've got some previus experiences?
Who is your role model as a musician? And what about your personal
music taste? Are there limited to power metal or more eclectic?
Peast:
“I have been involved in about 2-3 bands around 10 or so years ago.
My inspiration comes from 'Anchang,' the lead guitarist and vocalist
of the band Sex Machineguns from Japan. Personally, I listen to a
wide variety of music styles including Pop, Jazz, R&B, but I just
find it fun and enjoy composing Power Metal music, that's all.”
On
my blog every article is ilustrated by dedicated playlist.
I'd
like to ask about the one you created on this occasion.
What
is the music that you wanted to share with others?
